The ultimate tool for VRay For Maya

Quality

You can lock an attribute on render global to ignore the optimization.

1 = This is the first step. You need to save your actual setting before to optimize your scene.
It is necessary to disable the optimization and return to your original settings later.

2 = This is the second step. This button applies the optimization on your scene.

3 = Back to your original settings saved by the button “save actual settings”.

4 = Choose the preset for the optimization.

5 = Offset the quality.
For example : if you set your quality to 50, and add an offset to “Image sampler” to -20, the “Image sampler” will have a quality of 30.
Values can be positive, and negative.

6 = Control the quality with this slider.

7 = Optimize reflection and refraction of all materials on the scene, based on the glossiness.
The “minSub” is the minimum value for the reflection and refraction subdivisions.
The “maxSub” is the maximum value for the reflection and refraction subdivisions.
When you have a glossiness to 1, the subdivisions will be the value of the “minSub”.
When you have a glossiness to 0, the subdivisions will be the value of the “maxSub”.
Other values will be interpolated linearly.

LayerMode is here to apply all subdivisions values with a renderLayer override.

8 = Set sampling subdivisions values to 5 on all lights, 50 for a VRayLightDome.
